Welcome to the Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) degree programme offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering Technology, and coordinated by this centre.  

Your OUSL email account

An email account has been created for you by OUSL with the address Sxxxxxxxx@ousl.lk (This is your Student ID, for e.g. S12345678@ousl.lk) and the first password is the NIC number (those with numbers ending with v use (lowercase v). 

username - Student ID@ousl.lk

password - student NIC (who have 9 numbers with simple "v" )

You must change the password after first login and update the contact information in Account Settings.  

Please login to that email account to activate it. All further communication from OUSL will be sent to that account. Please pay attention and enter the accurate information.  You will receive the Tentative Activity schedule to that account on next Tuesday. 

Free Microsoft Office Licenses

OUSL provides free licenses for essential Microsoft Office applications to all registered students. The user guide on how to make use of this offer, read the guidebook available at https://reginfo.ou.ac.lk/letters/office365userguide.pdf

StART@OUSL

The first academic activity of the study program is the Student Academic Readiness Training at OUSL, commonly known as StART@OUSL. It consists of two courses: English for General Academic Purposes (EGAP) and Empowering for Independent Learning (EfIL).  You are also required to complete a set of online challenges (14 Basic challenges), for SLASSCOM’s Future Careers Bridge Programme. (https://futurecreersbridge.net). Please use the OUSL registration number when registering for the Future Careers Bridge challenges. 

ICT Challenges 

Two information sessions on IT industry, Employability and how to register for ICT Challenges were held on 09th and 10th of June by SLASSCOM.  If you were not able to join these sessions, the recordings of these sessions will be made available in the YouTube channel dedicated for BSE programme http://bit.ly/ouslbseUtube. 

Online class (LMS) at cites.openlearn.lk

As we have mentioned during the inauguration and the SLASSCOM sessions, course delivery will be done using an online Learning Management System (LMS), which can be accessed via https://cites.openlearn.lk.  Your LMS account have been created.  Please view the following videos before logging in to your account - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vq0smaQTmY  

To access the LMS login to https://cites.openlearn.lk/ with following credentials.

Username: Student ID (e.g. s12345678 number starting with lowercase 's')

Password: NIC number (e.g. 123456789V (uppercase 'V') or 12345679100)

You will be required to change the password at the first log in.

After logging in please access the EfIL course ( https://cites.openlearn.lk/course/view.php?id=2) and CHOOSE YOUR GROUP as described in the second video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b4rhtzXA6s

Please note that there is a Moodle App for Android phones.  You can also log in through that - but it is easier to log in for the first time through a browser.

Helpdesk

We have also set up a helpdesk at https://helpdesk.ou.ac.lk/en/folder/23 . Instructions on how to use the system can be found in the General folder.Responses to many common issues on the BSE Programme are listed in the Helpdesk system under BSE Folder. If you do not find any clarifications given on any issue you have, you could  submit a Ticket addressing your issue. Please use the email account (Sxxxxxxxx@ousl.lk) provided to you by OUSL.  Kindly note that future communications originating from us will be sent to your OUSL gmail account only.

(Sxxxxxxx යනු ඔබේ  ශිෂ්‍ය අංකය වේ  උදා: S12345678@ousl.lk).  පළමු වරට ද්වාරයට ඇතුල් වීමට මුරපදය (password ) ලෙස ඔබගේ ජාතික හැඳුනුම්පත් අංකය භාවිතා කරන්න  (v අකුරෙන් අවසන් වන අංක සහිත අය  කුඩා v අකුර භාවිතා කරන්න).

මුරපදය (password) - ජාතික හැඳුනුම්පත් අංකය 

පළමු පිවිසුමේදී පසු ඔබ මුරපදය වෙනස් කර ගත යුතු අතර ගිණුමේ සම්බන්ධතා තොරතුරු යාවත්කාලීන කළ යුතුය.

කරුණාකර විද්‍යුත් තැපැල් ගිණුමට පිවිස ගිණුම සක්‍රිය කර ගන්න. මේ සඳහා https://gmail.com වෙත  පිවිසෙන්න. මින් පසු අපගේ (OUSL) සියලුම පණිවිඩ  එම ගිණුමට එවනු ලැබේ.  ගිණුමේ සම්බන්දතා තොරතුරු නිවැරදිව ඇතුළත් කරන්න. 

 නොමිලේ  Microsoft Office බලපත්‍ර

සියලුම ලියාපදිංචි සිසුන්ට අත්‍යවශ්‍ය Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneDrive වැනි) සඳහා  නොමිලේ බලපත්‍ර (license ) ලබා දෙයි. මෙම දීමනාව භාවිතා කරන්නේ කෙසේද යන්න පිළිබඳව  දැන  ගැනීමට https://reginfo.ou.ac.lk/letters/office365userguide.pdf හි ඇති මාර්ගෝපදේශ පොත කියවන්න.

StART@OUSL ආරම්භක වැඩ සටහන

උපකාරක පද්ධතිය (Helpdesk System)

අපි http://helpdesk.openlearn.lk හි  උපකාරක පද්ධතියක් ස්ථාපනය කර ඇත .පද්ධතිය භාවිතා කරන්නේ කෙසේද යන්න පිළිබඳ උපදෙස් උපකාරක පද්ධතිය වෙත පිවිස එහි General (සාමාන්‍ය) ෆෝල්ඩරයෙන් ලබා ගත හැකිය.  BSE වැඩසටහනේ බොහෝ පොදු ගැටළු වලට ප්‍රතිචාර BSE ෆෝල්ඩරය යටතේ ලැයිස්තුගත කර ඇත. ඔබේ ගැටළුවට පිළිතුරක්  සොයාගත නොහැකි නම්, ඔබේ ගැටලුව සඳහන් කරමින් ප්‍රවේශ පත්‍රයක් (Ticket) ඉදිරිපත් කළ හැකිය. මේ සඳහා  OUSL විසින් සපයන ලද විද්‍යුත් තැපැල් ගිණුම (Sxxxxxxxx@ousl.lk) භාවිතා කරන්න. අනාගත සන්නිවේදනයන් සියල්ලම එවන්නේ  ඔබගේ OUSLගිණුමට පමණක් බව කරුණාවෙන් සලකන්න.

password - student NIC ("v" உடன் முடிவடையும் 9 இலக்கங்களை கொண்டவர்கள்)

முதன்முறையாக நீங்கள் உள்நுழைந்த பின் உங்கள் கடவுச்சொல்லை மாற்ற வேண்டும், அத்தோடு Account settings இல் உங்கள் தொடர்பு தகவலை புதுபிக்க வேண்டும். அதைச் செயல்படுத்த அந்த மின்னஞ்சல் கணக்கில் உள்நுழைக. OUSL இல் இருந்து மேலதிக தொடர்பாடல்கள் அனைத்தும் அக் கணக்கிற்கு அனுப்பப்படும். ஆகவே கவனம் செலுத்தி சரியான தகவலை உள்ளிடவும். அடுத்த செவ்வாய் அன்று இந்த கணக்கிற்கான தற்காலிக செயல்பாட்டு அட்டவணையை பெற்றுக் கொள்வீர்கள்.

இலவச Microsoft Office உரிமங்கள்

பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட அனைத்து மாணவர்களுக்கு அத்தியாவசிய Microsoft Office பயன்பாடுகளுக்கான இலவச உரிமங்களை OUSL வழங்குகிறது. இந்த சலுகையை எவ்வாறு பயன்படுத்துவது என்பது குறித்த பயனர் வழிகாட்டி புத்தகத்திற்கு https://reginfo.ou.ac.lk/letters/office365userguide.pdf ஐ நாடவும்.

StART@OUSL

இக்கற்கை நிகழ்ச்சியின் முதல் கல்விச் செயல்பாடு OUSL இல் மாணவர் கல்விக்கு தயார்நிலைப்படுத்தும் பயிற்சி ஆகும். இது பொதுவாக START@ OUSL என அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இது இரண்டு கற்கை நெறிகளை கொண்டுள்ளது. பொது கல்வி நோக்கங்களுக்கான ஆங்கிலம் (EGAP) மற்றும் சுயாதீன கற்றலுக்கான அதிகாரம் அளித்தல் (EfiL) என்பவை ஆகும். ICT சவால்கள் 

தகவல் தொழிநுட்ப வேலைவாய்ப்பு மற்றும் ICT சவால்களுக்கு எவ்வாறு பதிவு செய்வது என்பது குறித்த இரண்டு அமர்வுகள் ஜூன் 09 மற்றும் 10 திகதிகளில் SLASSCOM ஆல் நடாத்தப்பட்டது. இந்த அமர்வுகளில் நீங்கள் பங்குபற்ற முடியவில்லை எனின், இந்த அமர்வுகளின் ஆவணப் பதிவுகளை BSE திட்டத்திற்காக ஒழுங்கமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள YouTube channel இல் பார்வையிட முடியும் http://bit.ly/ouslbseUtube.

ஆரம்ப விழா, மற்றும் SLASSCOM அமர்வுகளின் போது நாங்கள் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ள படி, பாடநெறி கற்பித்தல் நடவடிக்கைகள் நிகழ்நிலை கற்றல் முகாமைத்துவ அமைப்பை (LMS) பயன்படுத்தி  வழங்கப்படும். இதை https://cites.openlearn.lk வழியாக அணுகலாம். இந்த LMS ஐ அணுகுவதற்கான உங்கள் தனிப்பட்ட கணக்கு 20 ஜூன் 2021 திங்கட்கிழமைக்குள் உருவாக்கப்படும். இது START@OUSL நிகழ்ச்சியை தொடங்குவதற்கு முன் கற்றல் சூழலைப் பற்றி அறிந்து கொள்ள போதுமான நேரத்தை வழங்கும். இது 2021 ஜூன் 19 சனிக்கிழமை அன்று நடைபேறும். தளத்தில் உள்நுழைவதற்கு முன் பின்வரும் வீடியோவைப் பாருங்கள் (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vq0smaQTmY).

Android தொலைபேசிகளுக்கு ஒரு Moodle App உள்ளது என்பதை நினைவில் கொள்க. இதன் மூலமாகவும் நீங்கள் உள்நுழையலாம் - ஆனால் உலாவி மூலம் முதல் முறையாக உள்நுழைவது எளிது.

Helpdesk

நாங்கள் உதவி சேவை(Helpdesk) முறை ஒன்றை செயல்படுத்தியுள்ளோம். இம் முறைமையை  https://helpdesk.ou.ac.lk/en/folder/23 இன் மூலம் அணுக முடியும். . இம் முறைமையை எவ்வாறு பயன்படுத்துவது என்பதற்கான வழிமுறைகளை General Folder இல் காண முடியும். கூறப்பட்ட வழிமுறைகளை http://bit.ly/bsehelpdesk இல் அணுக முடியும். BSE நிகழ்ச்சித் திட்டத்தின் பல பொதுவான சிக்கல்களுக்கான பதில்கள் BSE Folder இன் கீழ் உள்ள HelpDesk அமைப்பில் பட்டியலிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. உங்களிடம் உள்ள எந்தவொரு பிரச்சினையிலும் எந்த விளக்கமும் கிடைக்கவில்லை எனில், உங்கள் சிக்கலை எதிர்கொள்ளும் டிக்கெட்டை (Ticket) சமர்ப்பிக்கலாம். இதற்காக OUSL உங்களுக்கு வழங்கிய மின்னஞ்சல் கணக்கை (Sxxxxxxxx@ousl.lk) பயன்படுத்தவும். எதிர்காலத்தில் எங்களிடமிருந்து அனுப்பப்படும் எல்லா தகவல்தொடர்புகளும் உங்கள் OUSL gmail கணக்கிற்கு மட்டுமே அனுப்பப்படும் என்பதை தயவு செய்து கருத்திற் கொள்ளவும்.

பதிவு செயல்முறை, BSE நிகழ்ச்சி மற்றும் திட்டமிடல் நடவடிக்கைகள் தொடர்பான ஏதேனும் கேள்விகள் இருந்தால், தயவு செய்து எங்களை bsereg@ousl.lk மூலம் தொடர்பு கொள்ளவும். விசாரணைகளை அனுப்பு போது உங்கள் தேசிய அடையாள அட்டை எண்ணைக் குறிப்பிடுவதை உறுதி செய்யவும்.
